Pon un PM profesional en tu Empresa y… 1. Tendrás alguien que sabe lo que es un proyecto y qué empresas los generan
Pon un Project Manager Profesional (PMP) en tu empresa
y tendrás alguien en tu equipo que tiene clarísimo qué es un proyecto.
Que sabe que un proyecto
- es una encomienda temporal con un principio y un final fijado (¡si, está previsto que se acaben¡ ¡y, preferentemente en la fecha comprometida en la que se ha comprometido el PMP con cl cliente!),
- produce un producto o servicio o resultado único (¡algo único, reconocible por el cliente y, sobre todo, que satisfaga los requerimientos establecidos éste –ni más, ni menos-!).
También sabrá que, a veces, los proyectos se acaban antes de tiempo porque el cliente, viendo lo que hay,
- tiene claro que no se van a alcanzar los objetivos iniciales (llega un momento que dice y ya no hay vuelta atrás que ¡esto no hay por dónde cogerlo¡)
- o cuando (qué fácil se dice…) ya no es necesario (el cliente dice “!mira, que he cambiado de opinión¡ que lo que estáis haciendo ya no sirve para nada”).
Pero si tienes un PMP en la empresa no sólo será el último en desanimarse sino que te propondrá convocar una reunión para valorar lo ocurrido y extraer lecciones para que, en lo que corresponda a tu empresa, no vuelva a ocurrir.
Probablemente ni siquiera te lo hayas planteado porque esto de la gestión de proyectos es cosa de ingenieros y arquitectos y otras gentes de rancia formación y tu empresa se dedica a otras cosas –medicina, banca, educación, telecomunicaciones,…-.
Pero, no. Proyectos hay en todos los sectores y necesidades de PMP también. Si trabajas en
- una empresa farmacéutica, a lo mejor tienes que crear una red de parafarmacias o lanzar un nuevo medicamento genérico o abrir una delegación en Chile o…
- en la banca, quizás estés pensando en crear un nuevo servicio financiero o, si te va bien las cosas, comprar un banco en éste u otro país o…
- en educación, tendrás posibles proyectos en la cabeza como lanzar un nuevo master en gestión de proyectos (¡muy importante¡) o lanzar una línea editorial de libros de texto para ciclos superiores de formación profesional o …
- en las telecomunicaciones, como estás atento a las tendencias, quieres diseñar y lanzar un nuevo modelo de e-book o un servicio de atención al cliente de un operador telefónico –en este caso, mejorar lo presente no te será difícil- o …
- en la ingeniería civil y construcción, querrás que alguien bien preparado de dirija un contrato llave en mano de una urbanización, o un edificio de oficinas o una autopista o…
- en alimentación, sector donde queda por hacer muchas cosas, quizás tengas en tu plan estratégico lanzar una línea de productos precocinados o una franquicia de tiendas de frutas y verduras o…
- informática, defensa, turismo,…
De verdad, pon un Project manager en tu empresa, no importa el sector que esté.
Eso sí, los proyectos los lanzan las empresas que quieren crecer, que quieren diversificar, que quieren adaptarse a los cambios, que tienen un plan estratégico del que se derivan actuaciones (en familia, los llamamos proyectos), que creen que tienen margen de mejoras, que tienen ideas.
Si tu empresa no es de éstas, olvídalo, no sigas leyendo, porque un PMP no tendrá nada que hacer y como tiende a ser muy activo –“peor” todavía proactivo- se aburrirá e irá a otra empresa más dinámica.
